Martha Stewart, author of Living the Good Long Life, focused most of her energy on crafts and cooking but as she has aged, she has decided she wants to focus more energy on health and wellness. She made the decision to change her passion because when her mother died at the age of 93, Stewart knew she wanted to carry on her mother's legacy of living healthy.

Surprisingly Martha Stewart said she gets a lot of criticism but she never lets it get to her because she believes she is a good person doing good things for other people. Instead of focusing on the negative, Martha Stewart said she focuses on helping people create wonderful recipes or decorate their home. She tries her best to not let all the hurtful things people say get to her.
Martha Stewart Tries Online Dating After 30 Year Marriage
Martha Stewart recently tried online dating to find Mr. Right and she told Dr. Oz she made the decision to try it because she wanted to have more strong, personal connections in her life. She believes having personal connections with people is one way to increase longevity.
She also said having a man is like having a dog in your life. Although she was married for 30 years, has a beautiful daughter and some wonderful grandchildren, she tried Match.com as a sort of experiment just to see if it worked.
Martha Stewart Balks at Lovemaking Question
So what is Martha Stewart looking for in a man? Is she using the website to find a man to love her or a man to make love with? Dr. Oz wanted to know.
Martha Stewart told him they could talk about it during the break but Dr. Oz was persistent and asked her what it is like making love at her age. Martha took offense to the comment saying she is not even that old.
Dr. Oz pointed out she does talk about making love in her new book but she refused to talk about it on the show and he wanted to know why. She simply said she would talk about it another time but she did agree with Dr. Oz that we need to talk about it more because she believes it is very important to living a long, healthy life.
Martha Stewart Chamomile Tea Recipe
According to Martha Stewart, she would never open a bottle of wine or make herself a cocktail if she was at home. She said she does not feel comfortable getting little tipsy when there are so many animals in her home that need her attention.
She does love tea however and she shared her favorite tea recipe with Dr. Oz.
Martha Stewart Chamomile Tea Ingredients:
- 30 Drops Passionflower Tincture
- 15 Drops Skullcap Tincture
- 15 Drops Milky Oat Seed Tincture
Martha Stewart Broiled Grapefruit Recipe
Martha Stewart said one of the biggest reasons she loves eating grapefruit is because of the amount of pectin in the fruit. She said pectin is great for the heart.
Martha Stewart Broiled Grapefruit Ingredients:
- 1 Grapefruit, pink or red and cut in half
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, plus extra for sprinkling
- 1/2 cup plain, low-fat yogurt
Martha Stewart Broiled Grapefruit Directions:
- Cut the grapefruit in half and loosen the segments and pith with a knife.
- Sprinkle each half with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Broil on a baking pan about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with yogurt and and another sprinkle of cinnamon.
