Slow Cooker Crock-Pot Butter Corn
Hi Everyone, As a mom of 2 kids under 6, I have a strong appreciation for recipes that are so stupidly simple.
This recipe is not going to win awards for super creative but let me tell you, if it's between your picky eater, eating dinner, or not eating dinner at all – it's worth its weight in gold!
Moms out there, ya feel me?
Kids aside, there's merit to having a very simple and simply-seasoned dish (a simple alternative to a creamed corn-style dish) when you have a spread of elaborate dishes like you would at say Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, Christmas, etc.
It's refreshing!

Ingredients
- 3 lbs frozen white sweet corn (or your favorite variety)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, amount to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper medley, amount to taste
- 1 teaspoon seasoning mix of choice, amount to taste *I have used "Badia Complete Season" seasoning with success
- 2-4 cups water
Instructions
- In your slow cooker, put frozen corn, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, salt, pepper, optional seasoning, and 2-4 cups water. I usually add just 2 and keep stirring to combine but you may want more "sauce" in your dish. Adjust heat to high and cover.
- After 15-20 minutes, when the butter starts to melt, stir to combine the ingredients. Cover and continue cooking. Stir periodically.
- When all ingredients are completely defrosted, completely combined, and hot, it is ready to serve. Enjoy!
