Cleaning concatenation on kick pedals?

I want to clean the concatenation on my kick pedal bondage (they are squeaky and nasty) but I want your opinions outset. I was going to clean them out with a footling WD40 so utilize chain oil/lube (Like the chain lube you use for a chainsaw) to the concatenation. I'grand non certain if lithium grease would be a ameliorate lubricant to use.
What are your thoughts?
I'm gonna buy a direct drive pedal presently but I wanna brand these terminal a little longer.

And its probably not the concatenation either. Its probably the bearings and bulldoze shaft that connects the pedals (sounds like of you lot got a double pedal).

I'm supposed to record before long, so I wanna have care of this squeaky pedal. The squeak is most definitely coming from my chief pedal, I don't hear the audio when playing the slave pedal. So I don't think it is the drive shaft. Which bearing should I accept a look at on the principal pedal?
